Forgotten Daughters, Inc. is guided by a founding Board of Directors responsible for fiduciary oversight, strategic direction, and mission stewardship. The Board ensures that our programs, policies, and organizational practices remain aligned with our purpose of helping women heal, rebuild, and reconnect.
Forgotten Daughters, Inc. is intentionally building a multi-layered advisory structure to ensure that our work remains grounded in the lived realities of the women and girls we serve.
General Advisory Council
The General Advisory Council is composed of professionals, community leaders, and individuals with relevant lived or field experience. This Council provides non‑binding guidance to support ethical, informed program development, strategic growth, and best practices.
While the Council does not hold voting authority, its insight helps shape the direction and quality of our work.
Community Advisory Committees
To ensure that women and girls at every stage of life have a voice in shaping our programs, Forgotten Daughters is establishing three Community Advisory Committees:
Youth Advisory Committee (Ages 10–17)
Offers youth perspective, creativity, and insight to ensure our programs remain relevant and supportive for girls and teens.
Emerging Women Advisory Committee (Ages 18–30)
Provides guidance on programs and outreach for young adult women navigating transition, independence, and personal development.
Women of Wisdom Advisory Committee (Ages 31+)
Brings mentorship, lived experience, and community insight to strengthen programs and support intergenerational connection.
Why These Committees Matter
Each advisory committee elevates the voices, concerns, and priorities of women and girls within the communities we serve. Their input ensures that our programs remain responsive, culturally grounded, and rooted in real needs.
Together, the General Advisory Council and Community Advisory Committees create a powerful feedback loop between community voice and organizational leadership. This structure strengthens accountability, enhances cultural responsiveness, and ensures mission alignment as Forgotten Daughters continues to grow.
